South Beach Triathletes – send us your stories!
posted on January 27, 2010
Every athlete has a story, something that motivates them to get up for that early morning swim or ride and push themselves to pound the pavement that one extra mile after a hard day at the office. It may be a picture that they carry in their head that will propel them across the finish line on race day or a challenge that they have overcome to get there. Do you have an interesting or unique story for why you are racing? What motivates you to train? In gearing up for this year’s race, we are looking for human interest stories from you, the athlete, to share with the press interested in covering the event. And who knows, your story may be the thing that motivates someone to race next year.
Please review the questions below and let us know if these spark any interesting stories about your participation in the event:
• Why did you decide to participate in the Nautica South Beach Triathlon?
• Will you be traveling in from another state or country to participate? If so, what drew you to this event?
• Have you faced any challenges (physical or otherwise) during your training for the Nautica South Beach Triathlon?
• Have you met any people through either your training process or the Triathlon itself who made a lasting impact on you?
• If you participated last year, what inspires you to participate again this year?
• Based on your training for the Nautica South Beach Triathlon, is there any aspect of your life that you’ve changed? If you have a great story about your participation in the race that does not pertain to any of the above questions, please share that with us as well! Please send response to info@southbeachtri.com and include your first and last name and a contact phone number.
We thank you in advance for taking the time to share your stories with us!
